Day 38 and 39

Friday…. YES. Filled with possibilities! For me, it is going to be a weekend of non-stop fun. Like most of my weekends of course! Tonight and tomorrow there is a huge electronic music festival. I am very excited to attend, dance both weekend nights and enjoy all the blessed beats!

Saturday morning we are going for a dive. Ahhh I love the boat! I’ll try to get some pics! Hopefully I see a shark! I am scared to death of them so it is time for me to have the experience and get it over with!

Sunday is my baby cousin’s birthday. Well not so baby anymore but the youngest of our clan thus far! I am excited to see my grandparent’s as they don’t come down our way often. Plus my Grandfather has Alzheimer’s so it is always nice to see him as unfortunately, it won’t be long till he doesn’t remember us. So tough to go through, my Grandmother is a very strong woman for taking care of him every day. I am proud to have her genes. 

I’m please to announce, I am back jumping again. My ankle isn’t 100% but it is close. Not sure what I did to it but I am going to take extra care as we continue this program. I did 1400 in 20 minutes, not bad for getting back at it. I shortened my new Nike speed rope and I was whizzing through them. Of course I still trip up every 50 or so, but I keep going with no breaks till 200 then I have to walk it off a bit and catch my breath. I think I am just uncoordinated. I can’t wait to be one of you who exclaims, “jumping is easy”!

I am enjoying the strength stuff. It feels good to really dig into a specified muscle group. I cannot do a pull up so I put the bar up in a common location (the bathroom) and I try to do one every time I walk through. I think I try at least 50% of the time :) still not getting anywhere. I have zero strength to pull myself up.

Pistol squats are ok….. I use two chairs to guide me. I tip over otherwise. I try to not use them coming up but it is difficult. Getting better at push-ups though rraaawr!
