Day 34 and 35

Finally got some rest this weekend! But why am I so tired today? I got 12 hours of sleep on Saturday night. I didn’t mean too but I guess my body decided it was tired. I slept from 9pm till 9am!! Then last night I got a full 8 hours but I am DRAGGING today. I wish I could crawl under my desk for a little nap. Maybe I will eat through work and take a mini nap at lunch time.

I attempted to jump rope this morning. I headed outside with my jump rope in hand (which always throws my dog for a loop. Here I am walking to the door with a long string in my hand that resembles the leash and then I leave without him) and I only managed a few before my ankle started to rebel. I didn’t want it to get bad so I went inside and tried just jumping up and down lightly without the rope. On the plush carpet it seemed to hurt slightly less. I actually jumped up and down this way through the 1400. I felt a little ridiculous but my heart was pumping and my legs were burning. I was even able to get through 200 jumps in a row which with the jump rope made it impossible for me as I would trip every 50 or so. I felt the burn in my thighs like never before with the jump rope. Huh, Maybe this is a better technique for the jumping impaired like myself?? Who knows? What I do know is, that I got through it and I only limped for 45 minutes after… of course that is probably when the Advil kicked in. Tomorrow I am going to get a wrap for my ankle and try wrapping it up and see if that helps.  I might also start taking my Advil first thing so when I start jumping it is already processing through my body. I am scared I am losing momentum in the cardio area…. This is imperative to my workout sessions as I need to burn the fat just as much as build the muscles.

Tonight I will enjoy my last tasty shake. No banana from here on out!!! Apple, egg white, yogurt shake here I come. Yesterday I was starving in the evening. Not sure why exactly. My shake and veggies just didn’t cut it. My stomach was growling and I felt very empty. I ended up eating a small bread roll and having a bite of yogurt. Wasn’t on the diet, but I desperately needed to fill the void. It is the first time I have been that hungry since we started. I think I might have just over exerted myself that afternoon with the kids in the pool. When you swim with them they think you are a jungle gym and crawl all over you. It was fun :)

  1. Haha I can't believe you just jumped up and down on the carpet 1400 times! Good perserverance I must say...

Take care of those ankles, maybe you should try going for a walk/swim/bike ride one of those days to give them a break?

  2. Hey Kristi. I had sore ankles and knees this week and swapped it with 30mins on the elliptical instead. Definitely seemed to help! Take care.
